During its current financial year, Golfbreaks.com saw an increase of 12 percent in its overall bookings. The golf travel company witnessed the biggest growth in destinations like Morocco, South Africa and Turkey by 48 percent, half of which visited the latter. Clubs across Scotland and Ireland also experienced growth of 12 percent and 24 percent respectively.
“We realize more golfers to be taking advantage of the great deals that are currently on offer,” said Andrew Stanley, chief executive of Golfbreaks.com. “Though people tend to book closer to their travel dates, the late booking market has never been so optimistic as it is right now.” In the mean time, the company experienced 36 percent growth in Europe, especially in Portugal (44 percent), France (37 percent) and Spain (27 percent).
