Frequently described as the best hotel in Luanda, the Talatona Convention Hotel combines five star luxury and first rate business facilities in an elegant, modern setting. It is the first five star hotel to be constructed in the busy city of Luanda, Angola’s capital. Having only been inaugurated a year or so, it lies to the south of the city, on the seafront and adjacent to the International Convention Centre. The location is relatively peaceful, being some distance from the hustle and bustle of Luanda’s central hub, and the airport is a 45 minute drive.

The exterior facade of the Talatona Convention Hotel is impressively futuristic and its facilities are certainly worthy of its five star rating.  A modern building set amongst landscaped gardens, it has 201 rooms including one adapted for guests with disabilities and a presidential suite. In addition it has 20 modern luxury villas in private settings within the grounds, each of which have 2 or 3 bedrooms each. All the rooms and villas are spacious and have air conditioning, high speed internet connection and all the extras you would expect from a five star hotel in Angola.

 
For relaxation there is an outdoor pool and tennis court, a gym, a spa and a beauty salon. The hotel has its own business centre with a range of meeting rooms and business facilities. The enormous International Convention Centre is adjacent, complete with high security and a heliport. No expense is spared at the Talatona Convention Hotel, but this is reflected in the prices which go up from 600 US dollars a night. It is frequently occupied by high level dignitaries attending international meetings and events. Hotel guests can choose to dine in the main restaurant, or an Italian restaurant, and they can relax in a separate bar. Snacks are also served in the lobby cafe and the pool bar.

Visitors shouldn’t miss a visit to the nearby Island of Mussulo with its beaches, tropical gardens and relaxing walkways.  There are also restaurants, entertainment, and shops at the Belas shopping centre. The Talatona is also the closest hotel to the huge new international football stadium which has just been built.
