Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) is going to help Gabon develop its tourism industry, according to an agreement signed earlier this month in Libreville, Gabon’s capital.

According to well informed sources, Gabonese president Ali Bongo, had expressed strong interest in Seychelles’ success as a tourist destination.

Seychelles will assist Gabon in the implementation of its Tourism Board, in the creation of tourist information offices, in the production of tourism guide materials and in training tourism professionals, with cooperation of the Seychelles Tourism Academy.

Gabon is currently working on enhancing its tourist assets and upgrading its hospitality infrastructures. Next year’s African soccer tournament, the African Nations Cup, will increase the central African country’s exposure.
