Overlooking the Anse Louis beach in Seychelles, Maia Luxury Resort and Spa is more than a sanctuary, more than an escape and much, much more than a hotel. It is a place of physical, mental and spiritual awakening, a place of rediscovery. Peace, well-being and gastronomy characterize this pure luxury sanctuary, which makes it a perfect honeymoon destination.
The symbol of Maia is the lotus blossom, which unfolds to reveal each of its petals in turn. At Maia, you arrive as the bud of a lotus flower. During your stay, all the layers of your senses expand, grow and blossom in the warmth and light of the Maia experience. At the heart of the flower – and at the heart of Maia – you find perfect relaxation, awareness and intuition.
Maia's architecturally stunning accommodation comprises Ocean Front Villas with gardens leading onto the beach, Ocean Panoramic and Maia signature Hillside villas with spectacular views of the ocean, and a Maia Signature Villa with its own stretch of beach. They are all differentiated only by their location and therefore their unique views. All come with Balinese-influenced bedrooms decorated in soothing tones with natural furnishings, combining silks with dark wood; outdoor gazebo with oversized day- bed, large bathroom and spectacular infinity pool with sunken bath. And not less than 180 employees for only 30 rooms: here service is more than customized!
The La Prairie Spa is the main attraction Maia. Three separate open chalets - of 200m ² each - surrounded with white veils are dedicated to body and spirit well being, relaxation and meditation. Not to be missed: the famous Caviar care, just for pleasure! But also the Maia Signature Massage and the Intuitive Massage.
Maia Luxury Resort gastronomy experience, very renowned in Seychelles, benefits from the services of four leaders (French, Creole, Oriental and Thai) supervised by the grand Chef Oscar Torrès. The Gourmet Restaurant serves a la carte Mediterranean, Creole and French-Asian specialities. Wines are imported from France.
The only week points of Maia Luxury Resort and Spa are the difficult access since the airport and the capital Victoria, and the lack of equipments and sports activities. But on the other hand, you will not be disturbed in the crystal clear waters by motorized water sports, which are forbidden on this quiet beach.
Our packing tip: bring a snorkel. There's a reef, teeming with the sort of primary-coloured sea life that you would normally only see in an aquarium, right in front of the hotel. Maia can also arrange scuba-diving excursions for an extra cost.
