The Rezidor Hotel Group is set to open a Park Inn by Radisson property in Kenya in 2013, as it seeks a bigger share of Africa’s hotel business. The Park Inn Nairobi Westlands will be Rezidor's first Park Inn by Radisson in East Africa, and is scheduled to open in Q4 2013.

 
The hotel will be located in Woodvale Grove in the Westlands, Nairobi’s business and finance  area. The local head quarters of the United Nations and several international businesses are nearby.

 
Park Inn Nairobi Westlands will add 126 rooms in Kenya’s hotel market, that has remained in  in the hands of Serena, Hilton, Intercontinental and Sarova chains.

 
In Nairobi, where conference tourism has been on the rise in the last three years, bed capacity has grown in excess of 2,000, with new players like Sankara Hotel.
