Ghana becomes the fifth African destination for Virgin Atlantic flights, after Cape Town, Johannesburg, Lagos and Nairobi.
The airline will serve Accra thrice weekly.
The inaugural flight of Virgin Atlantic landed at the Kotoka International Airport on 26 May.
Travellers are now able to travel between Ghana and London on Virgin Atlantic, onboard an Airbus A340 300
The airline will help further Ghana’s leading position within West Africa as the preferred business by making it more accessible to business and leisure passengers, Sir Richard Branson CEO of the Virgin Group declared.
